Bad Ideas Rigfest

Well what a crazy month it has been, in between Friday night catch ups with the Northside 4x4 Adventures guys and hospital visits we managed to slip RIGFEST in there somewhere.

As an initiative between Bad Ideas and Northside 4x4 Adventures we were asked to try and get more 4wd’s to the Bad Ideas events which are almost always JDM, classic American muscle and ever exotic Supercars, by holding RIGFEST a car show event for just 4x4’s.

So with trophies sorted and media content shared to get the interest pumping we waited patiently until the end of the month for RIGFEST to roll around.

The day was finally here and we anticipated that we may get about 8-10 Rigs, the interest was there but we just weren’t sure who or how many would roll through the gates. Well we were totally blown away with 35+ Rigs showing up including Darren and Little Rig, what a build this thing is. Darren is such an awesome bloke and wanted to support RIGFEST and be there on the night. It was so great to have you there mate and I hope we can do it again soon.

The trophies were awarded and the categories where

Best Wagon,

Went to a very tuff GU that was running an LS3 V8 with lots and lots of work done to it.

Best Ute/Tray Set up

Went to an awesome lifted Holden Colorado with touring setup ready to hit the camps with tub rack and RTT.

Most Abused 4x4

Went to a Mazda B2500 dual Cab that definitely, had seen many many rough tracks.

Overall winner.

Went to a very mint Defender that was simple but very amazing to see.

That was it, a great night was had by all and a massive thanks goes out to the crew from BAD IDEAS for their support, this wouldn’t of happened with them, to Darren and Little Rig for gracing us with their presence, it was awesome to have you there and lastly this whole thing would not be possible with out our members and our group supporters.

Regards

Russell Hamilton
